This $3 million project consisted of the preparation of plans and specifications for the infrastructure improvements and development of a 40 acre tract of land based on the architect’s master plan for the expansion of the main campus for South Texas College (STC). The project included the design of a master plan infrastructure design for the new North Pecan Campus able to accommodate future expansion and the Site Civil design of 3 new buildings (Information Technology Building, Communications Arts Building and Institutional Support Services Building). The design included new parking lot facilities to serve newly constructed and future buildings, main drives, parking facilities, water lines, sanitary sewer service lines, driveways, a hydrology study and hydraulic design of storm management system (detention ponds and storm sewer system), sidewalks that serve as pedestrian routes meeting Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS). Our efforts included the coordination of work with a Landscape Architect, mechanical plumbing team, Electrical Engineers, Communications Engineers and City of McAllen Public Utility, Engineering and Planning Departments.
