Project Features
The project included the preparation of plans and specifications for the extension of Bicentennial Boulevard from approximately 500 feet south of Uvalde Avenue to the McAllen-Miller International Airport to 65 feet of roadway over an existing irrigation canal that was backfilled. The project also included the preparation on plans and specifications for Uvalde Avenue from 200 feet west of Bicentennial Blvd to La Plaza Mall. Some portions of Uvalde Avenue were over abandoned waste sites and an abandoned wastewater treatment plant... The project required close coordination with other irrigation engineering consultants responsible for the re-routing of the irrigation canal into a 72” RCP. The final cost of the Bicentennial Blvd./Uvalde Ave. project was $384,900, exclusive of the irrigation system relocation.
