The Bentsen Road Paving, Drainage, and Waterline Improvements Project U.S. Expressway 83 to FM 495 (Pecan Blvd.)The Bentsen Road Paving Project is currently under construction from U.S. Expressway 83 North to F.M. 495 (Pecan Blvd.) The pavement section width will be widened from an existing 20 feet to 65 feet, allowing four lanes of traffic and a continuous left turn lane. This 6 Million Dollar Project is the first phase of work the City of McAllen is undertaking for Bentsen Road, with the next phase of work from F.M. 495 to Mile 3 Rd. (Buddy Owens) being scheduled for design later this year. Prior to construction of this current Project, our firm designed a major sanitary sewer interceptor and water distribution main that will serve the West Central corridor of the City of McAllen.
